At Zeagle we cut and sew BCDs in our own Zephyrhills Florida factory so we can custom make your BCD to your order. Heres how it will work: Every sewn panel of the Ranger BCD can be ordered in a custom color. The picture below shows the color options taken to an extreme for panel identification. Your group can come up with a custom set of colors and panel sections to make your Rangers unique, more visible or easily identifiable. Panels that are custom colored (i.e. not black) will be made from heavy-duty Cordura fabric.
Reasons for doing this (apart from just having fun) could include:
- A custom color scheme for a local Rescue Squad
- An unusual color or pattern for all of the instructors or dive masters at a particular store or dive site.
- Increasing safety by making it easier for a student or client with problems to quickly locate divers who can help them.
- A custom color BCD for an award
- Identification of rental BCDs
There is some extra labor to do this, so it does cost a little more, depending on how many panels are altered from the standard black. You can ask your dealer about the custom charge for this service from Zeagle.
Please note that web colors are not always transmitted accurately, and the colors you see can vary depending on many factors, including the settings and the quality of the monitor. Treat these as approximations, not exact matches. The Tie-Dye colors available are only an example of what you can get when selecting this option and have been lightened to allow you to better see the details of the fabric. Due to the process of tie-dying this material every roll of fabric is different from another, you will always get a different color pattern.
The Tie-Dye material we have acquired is a very exclusive and unique material that is hand dyed in one yard increments. This results in a completely unique piece of fabric every time it is brought in the door here at Zeagle. The process is expensive and time consuming (not all colors will be available at all times, not all sections of the BC will be able to be made from this material) but this means every BC cut with these colors will be completely different from the one before and you will get a color pattern that is as unique as you are.
