Jerri Moore, an active Zeagle Diver submitted these photos and story in her own words about her experience with Zeagle Gear and a recent dive trip to Roatan
"Wanna learn how to dive?" my overly adventurous 30 year old son asked me one day.
"Yeah, sure…sounds like fun." I replied vaguely, thinking of some faraway time in the fuzzy future. I promptly forgot our conversation until a few weeks later when I accompanied him to our local dive shop. As he paid for his purchase, he introduced me to the shop owner, "This is my mom, George. She wants to get certified." After stammering and stuttering for a few moments, I found myself signed up for classes that coming weekend. Shortly thereafter, my daughter was certified and our small family set our sights on the sea. Several dive trips later, I determined that I was in the market to buy my own gear. I wasn’t quite sure what I wanted, but I knew that I didn’t enjoy dealing with the various problems inherent in rental and borrowed gear. I was fed up with jamming regs and shifting BCs. I approached my son, the only authority I trust concerning diving issues which matter most to me—such as my desire to remain alive. A commercial diver and Blackhawk pilot, he cut straight to the chase, "Zeagle is the way to go, Mom." I took his advice without argument, and we proceeded to get me outfitted with a Zeagle Zena, Octo+, and Envoy—a choice I’ve never regretted.
One of my favorite characteristics of my Zeagle setup is how well it packs. The Zena handily breaks down, enabling me to fit the entire rig in my carry-on. As our family travels light and never checks luggage, I consider this feature an essential element of design.
"Another beneficial aspect of this Zeagle rig is the clean, streamlined appearance. Extra hoses, danglies, and bulky pockets are eliminated, lending more eye appeal to personal underwater photographs. Plus, the Zena fit sure flatters this Texas mama! "
These photographs were taken in Roatan on our last trip. For our next jaunt, we’ve set our sights on Bonaire or Saba. |
