Drysuit Valves
Pinnacle Aquatics uses only Si Tech valves, which are widely known to be the best drysuit valves that money can buy. For more information on Si Tech, see www.sitech.se.)
Specifically, Pinnacle uses a low-profile 360-degree inflator valve and a low-profile auto exhaust valve. The low-profile design of these valves reduces the likelihood of snagging on kelp, seaweed, fishing line, etc. The inflator valve rotes to any point desired for easy hose connection, and moves with the diver during the dive for more freedom of movement. The exhaust valve can be set so that a constant air pressure is maintained inside the suit, reducing the number of adjustments needed during the dive.
Both valves are fitted with an internal neoprene baffle and an external rubber apron. The inflation baffle deflects the incoming air, providing a more comfortable diver, and the exhaust baffle prevents loose undergarments from becoming lodged in the exhaust valve. The rubber aprons protect the drysuit from abrasion by the inflator hose, chafing by the valve housings, etc
Bellows Pocket
The right legs of all Pinnacle drysuits are equipped with a large bellows pocket. This pocket is large enough to hold many items, such as hand lights, tools, slates, artifacts, etc. The pocket closes securely with a covering flap lined with heavy-duty VELCRO® brand hook and loop. The pocket is fitted with drain holes so that water will not stay inside after you exit your dive.
This is a standard feature on Pinnacle drysuits that normally is an expensive custom option on most other drysuits.
Shoulder Pads
Most Pinnacle Aquatics wetsuits and all drysuits incorporate molded rubber shoulder pads. These shoulder pads protect the suit from wear and tear caused by friction against a BC or harness, help hold the BC in place on the diver’s shoulders, and protect the diver’s shoulders from the weight of a BC loaded with a tank and weights.
Zipper Protector Flap
The easiest thing to damage on a drysuit, and the most expensive thing to repair, is the main zipper. To help prevent damage to this critical piece of equipment, all Pinnacle drysuits are equipped with a heavy protective flap. This zipper protector is held down with hook and loop closure during the dive, yet lifts easily for access when donning or doffing the suit. This flap helps keep sand and grit out of the teeth of the zipper, and prevents abrasions from BCs, harnesses, etc.
This is a standard feature on Pinnacle drysuits that normally is an expensive custom option on most other drysuits.
