Signal Tubes

Signal Tubes and QD Deluxe Signal Tube Kits

For maximum visibility, the front of the tube is fluorescent orange, and the back of the tube is neon yellow. A hook & loop strap is used to secure the tube in a tight roll for storage in a BCD pocket when not in use. A handle at the bottom of the tube is available to tie a surface reel line to. A clear pocket is positioned at the top of the tube to hold a chemical or battery powered locating light (not included). These signal tubes offer maximum visibility for locating a diver.

Standard Signal Tube

The Standard Signal Tube is a surface signaling device with its fluorescent orange and neon yellow coloring. The tube is inflated at the surface with an oral inflation valve and measures 6” x 60” for maximum visibility in choppy waters.

251-1002 Deluxe Signal Tube

A unique feature of the Deluxe Signal Tube is that the diver can fill the tube at depth by holding the open bottom of the tube over a regulator mouthpiece while the regulator is being purged. The air will enter the tube through a large Duck-bill valve at bottom. When the tube is sufficiently filled with air, the diver can release it to the surface (while tied to a line) a built-in Over Pressure Relief Valve allows the tube to ascend without rupturing. This way a diver can signal he will soon be ready for pick-up, without going to the surface immediately. There is also an oral inflate valve for surface use. Develops 22 lbs of lift in fresh water.

Zeagle Signal Tubes roll up and fasten with hook & loop straps in a tight roll that will fit in a BCD pocket until needed. The Deluxe Tube is shown on the left and the Standard tube (slightly smaller) on the right.

QD Deluxe Signal Tubes

The Quick Deploy Deluxe Signal System is a compact way to effectively store and deploy a  signal tube and a thumb reel.  The System includes the Signal Tube, the Reel and line, double ended Brass Snap and an E-Z mount Pouch.

730-3001P- With lightweight 3.25" Thumb Reel, 115 feet of HD nylon line, double ended brass snap and E-Z Mount pouch. Also available as a zip-on pouch (730-3001PZ).

730-3001S- With Stainless Steel 3" Thumb Reel, 65 feet of HD nylon line, double ended brass snap and E-Z mount pouch. Also available as zip-on pouch (730-3001SZ).

The Quick Deploy Deluxe Signal System is completely enclosed in the pouch when not in use.  To deploy, the diver grasps the Deploy Strap and pulls the reel and the signal tube out of the pouch.  The diver inflates the Signal Tube with his Octopus 2nd stage by purging air out of the regs mouthpiece into the large one-way valve on the bottom of the tube (if available) or by orally inflating the oral inflator valve.  The diver can then drop the reel which unwinds and let the tube ascend to the surface.  The diver encircles the line loosely with the thumb and fingers and ascends to the desired depth.
